Roots of Resilience

On July 30th, AWARE welcomed friends, supporters, and community partners to Cherry Creek Cellars for Roots of Resilience, an evening dedicated to celebrating the strength and resilience of survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Guests gathered for a beautiful summer evening featuring live music by Mike Lee, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and an opportunity to come together in support of AWARE’s mission. More than a fundraiser, Roots of Resilience was a celebration of the community that surrounds survivors with support, resources, and hope as they move forward.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so meaningful. Every ticket purchased, auction bid, raffle ticket, sponsorship, and donation contributed to the success of the event and directly supports AWARE’s ability to continue providing critical services to survivors in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to our event sponsors: The Brokerage House Real Estate, Commonwealth Associates, Inc., Edwards Machining Inc., United Way of South Central Michigan, GreenStone Farm Credit Services, and County National Bank. Their generosity and commitment to our mission helped make Roots of Resilience possible.

We are also grateful to Cherry Creek Cellars for providing such a beautiful setting, Mike Lee for filling the evening with live music, and the many local businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated items and experiences for our silent auction. Each contribution played an important role in bringing the event together.

Funds raised through Roots of Resilience help AWARE continue providing essential services to individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence, including emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and other supportive services designed to help survivors find safety and move forward.

To everyone who sponsored, donated, attended, volunteered, shared our event, or supported us from afar: thank you. Your support extends far beyond one evening. It helps ensure survivors in our community have somewhere to turn when they need it most.

Together, we celebrated resilience, strengthened our community, and helped continue the work of providing safety, hope, and healing to survivors.
