Love Looks Like: Community in Action

Join AWARE for Love Looks Like: Community in Action, a free community event in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Together, we’ll raise awareness about domestic violence, connect with local resources, and show survivors that our community stands with them. This year, AWARE’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month theme is Love Looks Like, encouraging our community to think about the qualities that make relationships healthy, safe, and supportive. An important part of healthy love is community, and this event is an opportunity to put that idea into action.

The evening will begin with refreshments and community resource tables from 4:00–5:00 PM, followed by featured remarks from Judge Nicole Hughes of the 12th District Court from 5:00–5:30 PM. We’ll conclude with a short Walk for Awareness from 5:30–6:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple, the color of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and stand with us in support of survivors.

The first 50 attendees will receive a free DVAM T-shirt!
