Emergency Response Services

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE Nurses) may do examinations and evidence collection up to 96 hours after an assault has taken place. Examinations may be done for survivors who are at least twelve years of age OR younger if the survivor has already had the onset of menses. AWARE has examination rooms at the AWARE site or at Allegiance Health (formerly Foote Hospital).
