24 Hour Crisis Support

AWARE has a 24 hour crisis line for those in need of sexual assault or domestic violence services.  If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

For Crisis assistance call AWARE at 517-783-2861.

Shelter services are available for 30 days.  Advocates work within that time to help survivors with resources to function emotionally, economically and safely within the community once they have exited.

Children of survivors can accompany them and stay with them in the shelter.  Advocates are not allowed to care for children in the absence of the parent.

Children's activities are provided to the children.  

No payment is required for any services provided by AWARE

Please remember AWARE is a secure facility.  No friends or relatives are allowed to visit because of confidentiality.
